Protection of the public: fundamental mission of the Ordre des CGA
Several decades ago, the Ordre instituted regulations, as a Code of Ethics (in French only), that defined the professional conduct expected of its members. CGAs must carry out their duties in compliance with the rules of ethics defined by the profession.
The main mission of the Ordre is to ensure the protection of the public. To do so, the Ordre:
- verifies the competency and integrity of its members;
- monitors the practice of the profession;
- regulates practice;
- manages the disciplinary process.
Procedures have been set up to ensure that the Ordre can achieve its mission.
