The Board of Directors and the Executive Committee
The Board of Directors
The Professional Code defines the mandates of the Board of Directors by granting it all rights, powers and privileges of the Ordre, except those that fall under the responsibility of the CGAs who attend the Annual General Meeting.
The Board of Directors is composed of 19 members, of which 15 are elected by the respective members of each administrative region in order to ensure regional representation, and 4 directors appointed by the Office des professions to represent the public.
This year, Marco Pilon, FCGA, is the Chair of the board. You can reach Mr. Pilon by e-mail at presidence@cga-quebec.org.
Its main responsibilities are:
- administration of the Ordre;
- developing strategic plans;
- determining eligibility conditions, i.e. requirements governing practical work experience, examinations, training and equivalences;
- removing members from the roll when necessary;
- and approving the regulations required by the Professional Code.
The Executive Committee
The Executive Committee, compose of five people, is responsible for the administration of current affairs of the Ordre and may exercise all powers that the Board of Directors delegates to it, except the power to adopt regulations.
The Chair of the Board of Directors is automatically a member and Chair of the Executive Committee. Committee members are elected from the members of the Board of Directors, except for those elected from the directors appointed by the Office. The Secretary of the Ordre acts as the Secretary of the Committee.
